Write with Personality

So, you want to learn about Myers-Briggs Personality Types (MBTI). Fabulous! Not only will this help you learn more about yourself and your writing process, but it will help you understand your characters as well.

Whether it’s your protagonist or villain, you can pick their personality type and use it to your advantage. Remember, everyone is unique in their own way. Use the MBTI traits as a reference, not as fact. There’s no reason for an INTP to be the villain or an ENFP to be “the fool” (Seriously, don’t hurt my feelings).

The Myers-Briggs Traits are a great reference point. Decide who your characters are, then break the mold.
